The delegation of Turkmenistan visited the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ) in Azerbaijan, the press service of the Turkmen diplomatic department reports.
During the visit, the Turkmen delegation met with the Chairman of the Board of AFEZ Valeh Alasgarov and his team, who spoke in detail about the activities, benefits and opportunities of the Free Economic Zone.
Alasgarov noted that the AFEZ is a strategic project aimed at developing the oil and gas and non-resource sectors of the economy, attracting foreign investment, creating new jobs and increasing the competitiveness of Azerbaijani goods in world markets.
He also presented a package of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, a unique legal framework, land plots with ready-to-use infrastructure and utilities, transport and logistics centers located in the AFEZ, and called on Turkmen investors to take advantage of the favorable conditions available in the Free Economic Zone.
