Turkmenistan and China Discuss Development of Telecommunications and Information Technologies

The Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency of Transport and Communications representatives under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, headed by Chairman Hajymyrat Hudaygulyev, met with a Chinese company, JD.com Incorporation delegation on Friday. During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of telecommunication and information technologies, the press service of the agency reports.

Within the context of the XVI International Exhibition and Scientific Conference Türkmentel-2023, the Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency and JD.com Incorporation discussed potential collaboration areas. These included the implementation of e-commerce and the integration of modern technologies within the telecommunications sector.

Representatives of Turkmenaragatnashyk showed interest in the innovative solutions that JD.com can offer in e-commerce and digital technologies.

The Turkmenaragatnashyk Agency is the principal governing body in Turkmenistan responsible for overseeing and regulating various communication sectors. It includes the management of local and mobile communication networks, internet services, postal services, digital economy initiatives, cyber security measures, satellite communications, and national broadcasting and radio broadcasting activities.
