Turkmenistan and France discussed trade and economic relations

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova met with the head of the “France-Turkmenistan” Chamber of Commerce Marie-Hélène Berard, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

The parties noted the dynamic development of Turkmen-French economic relations. At the same time, significant potential was noted for further expansion of cooperation between companies of the two countries in such areas as energy, oil and gas, transport and healthcare.

Particular attention at the negotiations was paid to the prospects for joint work on the rational use of water resources in Turkmenistan.

Bashimova emphasized the important role that the “France-Turkmenistan” Chamber of Commerce is called upon to play in enhancing trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and France.
