Turkmenistan and France Sign Agenda For Cooperation Between Foreign Ministries

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Catherine Colonna held talks in France on Tuesday. The meeting resulted in the signing of a 2024-2026 agenda cooperation between foreign ministries.

The ministers also signed a declaration of intent on cooperation in the educational sector, the French ministry said in a statement following the meeting.

The ministers expressed their satisfaction with the favorable progress of their bilateral relations, which have been enhanced by increased political dialogue and promising opportunities for development, especially with regard to economic relations in the environmental, energy and infrastructure sectors in particular.

The meeting took place within the framework of the visit of the a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Rashid Meredov, to France.The delegation on Monday participated in a business meeting with French companies who are members of the international French association MEDEF-International.

The purpose of the meeting was to acquaint the French business representatives with Turkmenistan's investment opportunities.
