Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan Sign Agreement Package

Following the talks between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, held in Ashgabat during the Kazakh leader’s official visit, a comprehensive package of agreements was signed, as reported by Turkmenistan’s official media on Thursday.

In the presence of both Heads of State, memorandums of understanding were signed between the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) and the Presidential Television and Radio Complex of Kazakhstan, along with agreements covering cooperation in various sectors, including transportation, economics, and culture.

Key documents include an agreement on cooperation in the gas industry, and memorandums related to digitalization, sports, and agriculture. Additional agreements were signed on mutual investment protection and promotion, as well as a comprehensive strategic partnership program for 2025-2027.

The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan concluded the signing by endorsing a Declaration on Strengthening Friendship and Deepening Multidimensional Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
