Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan Sign Series of Agreements

Official delegations of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan exchanged a set of intergovernmental and interagency documents during expanded-format talks between Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Tuesday in Astana, according to the Kazakh president’s press service.

The agreements cover key areas of cooperation, including cultural and humanitarian ties, migration, pension provision, the legal sector, agriculture and veterinary services, healthcare, science, transport and information exchange.

The documents include agreements and memorandums between government agencies, ministries and regional authorities of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, as well as joint action plans for 20262027.

Earlier the same day, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Kazakhstan’s highest state award, the Altyn Qyran Order.
