Turkmenistan and Pakistan Discuss Trade and Investment Relations

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, met with Punjab's Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, in Lahore on Wednesday. During the meeting, they discussed expanding cooperation between Turkmenistan and Punjab to foster trade and investment.

According to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan, at the outset of the meeting, the Turkmen ambassador congratulated Punjab's chief minister on her inauguration and wished her success in advancing the economic development of Punjab province and Pakistan as a whole.

The parties explored opportunities for collaboration in energy, industry, livestock, agriculture, textile, and pharmaceutical sectors, as per the statement.

The Turkmen Ambassador and the Chief Minister of Punjab noted that increasing trade volume and enhancing cooperation between Turkmenistan and Punjab would provide a significant boost to the socio-economic development of both countries.

Diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan were established on May 9, 1992.
