Turkmenistan and Pakistan discussed trade and economic cooperation

Negotiations were held in Islamabad between the Turkmen and Pakistani sides on the development of trade and economic relations, reports the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

From the Turkmen side, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atajan Movlamov participated in the negotiations, from the Pakistani side - the President of the Chamber of Small Entrepreneurs and Small Industrialists of Islamabad Sajjad Sarwar, as well as the President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahsan Zafar Bakhtaviri.

During the meetings, the Turkmen side made a presentation on the economic programs of Turkmenistan, the country’s foreign and domestic policies, as well as the construction of the innovative “smart” city of Arkadag.

The parties discussed the prospects for expanding trade and economic ties between the two countries and the possibility of strengthening bilateral partnerships.
