Turkmenistan and Slovenia will hold a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation

The preparations for the meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Slovenian Commission on Economic Cooperation scheduled for the end of March 2023 in Ljubljana were discussed during a working visit to Slovenia by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Batyr Niyazliyev accredited in this country (with residence in Moscow). This was reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation.

During the talks held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, issues of the development of the Turkmen-Slovenian partnership in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields were discussed.

The parties expressed interest in intensifying the Turkmen-Slovenian cooperation, including in the context of considering the possibility of bilateral high-level visits this year.

In this regard, the importance of holding political consultations at the level of the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries was noted, and the expediency of expanding the bilateral legal framework was stated.

All these issues will be considered in detail during the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, within which the members of the Turkmen delegation will meet with representatives of the ministries and departments of Slovenia.

This year, Turkmenistan and Slovenia will celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations that were established on November 11, 1993.
