Turkmenistan and the Korean Agency for the Promotion of Oriental Medicine signed a cooperation agreement

The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the Korean Agency for the Promotion of Oriental Medicine signed a cooperation agreement.

As Trend reports, within the framework of the agreement the following activities will be carried out: exchange of modern technologies and scientific and practical information in the field of oriental medicine and rehabilitation medicine; development and implementation of joint educational programs in the field of traditional medicine and rehabilitation medicine; cooperation in the development of healthcare and medical industry of Turkmenistan.

Along with the organization of regular internships, it is planned to create and operate a Center for Oriental Medicine as part of one of the largest new clinics in Turkmenistan. The opening of the center is scheduled for October 2024.

Plans also include industrialization of the production of traditional medicines, including scientific research; cultivation of medicinal plants, their processing and sale of finished products.

The source notes that in order to facilitate cooperation, experts from the Ministry of Health of Korea and related organizations (Korea Agency for the Promotion of Oriental Medicine, Korean Institute of Oriental Medicine, Graduate School of Oriental Medicine of Pusan National University, College of Oriental Medicine of Woosuk University) visited Turkmenistan and conducted a series of meetings.
