On 15 March, in the course of the second day of the official visit of Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov to the United Arab Emirates the sides signed a range of agreements, including:
The Agreement on combating terrorism, organized crime and drug and psychotropic substance trafficking, as well as other crimes;
The Extradition Agreement between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates;
The Agreement between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates on rendering mutual legal assistance for criminal matters;
The Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on mutual visa waiver for holders of diplomatic and VIP passports;
The Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on cooperation in culture;
The Amendment Protocol to the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on elimination of double taxation for income and capital taxes, signed on 9 June 1998;
Memorandum of Understanding between the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and Dubai’s Islamic Economic Development Centre;
The Confidentiality Agreement between the state holding Türkmengaz and the UAE-based company Mubadala Petroleum;
Memorandum of Understanding between the state holding Türkmengaz and the UAE-based company Mubadala Petroleum;
The Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.
