Turkmenistan and UNICEF discussed key areas of cooperation

On March 30, 2026, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan Jalpa Ratna.About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of cooperation, including the implementation of joint projects in the fields of education, social protection, and sustainable development.Particular attention was given to the joint implementation of tasks arising from the UNICEF Country Programme for Turkmenistan for 20262030.

The sides also exchanged views on the development of preschool education.In addition, issues related to the development of the social work system were addressed, including the training of specialists, creation of new jobs, and improvement of institutional mechanisms in this field.

The importance of adopting the National Strategy for Early Childhood Development for 20262030 was emphasized.The meeting also covered the implementation of projects aimed at developing inclusive educational infrastructure, as well as the preparation of the National Programme on Child Protection and Child Justice.
