Turkmenistan has announced a drawing competition for World Marine Mammal Day, which is celebrated on February 19. The theme of the competition, accordingly, is marine mammals.
Children and teenagers aged 6 to 15 years are invited to participate in the competition. The goal of the competition is to attract the attention of the younger generation to the problems of preserving marine mammals, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Competition works can be completed in any technique on A3 paper with information about the author (full name, age, title of the work, contact details).
Drawings are accepted from February 1 to 10 at the address: Ashgabat city, Azadi street, building 61, “Ylym” publishing house.
The competition is organized by the public organization “Young Naturalist” and the Children’s Fund of Turkmenistan under the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
The winners of the competition will be announced on February 15. The authors of the 10 best works will go on an excursion to the Hazar State Reserve. All competition participants will be awarded certificates and memorable gifts, the source notes.
