President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the motto and emblem for next year today. They were presented by Parliament Chairperson Gulshat Mammadova at a joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council.
Thus, the motto “Turkmenistan the Homeland of Peace and Trust” has been chosen for 2021 in the country, which is consonant with the UN Resolution on declaring next year the International Year of Peace and Trust.
This resolution initiated by Turkmenistan was adopted at the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.The emblem of the year was chosen based on the competition results.
Having approved the motto and emblem, the head of state noted that next year is significant for the country, because Turkmenistan will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its independence, and therefore all major events will be dedicated to the anniversary year.
The motto and emblem of 2021 will be published in print and on the country’s TV channels.
