Turkmenistan Approves Strategy For Increasing Vitamin D-Related Preventive Measures

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution approving the Strategy for Increasing Vitamin D-Related Preventive Measures in Turkmenistan for 2023-2028 and the Action Plan for its Implementation, the country’s official media reported on Sunday.

The document was signed in order to widely popularize and approve among the population the principles of a healthy lifestyle and the implementation of effective measures to prevent conditions associated with vitamin D.

Vitamin D has several functions in the body, helping to maintain healthy bones and teeth, keep the immune system, brain and nervous system healthy, regulate insulin levels, and maintain lung and cardiovascular function.
