The women national team of Turkmenistan on basketball 3x3 has conducted a first match of the selection tournament of the Asian Cup in Singapore where beat a Guama team. The meeting ended with 21:14 score for Turkmenistan team.
The Turkmen team has left to play two matches at the selection stage. Today they play with the national team of Kazakhstan and Papua New Guinea.
The national team of Turkmenistan is leading in the group by gaining 21 points. Kazakhstan is at the second place (17 points), Guam is third (14 points), at the last place is Papua New Guinea (5 points).
In the women category automatically entered only 7 teams, they are: Singapore (hosts of the tournament), Australia (reigning champions), Mongolia, China, Japan, Taiwan and Sri Lanka (the top 5 teams in the FIBA 3×3 ranking as of November 1, 2021).
The remaining 16 teams will need to pass the qualification tournament. 5 group winners will advance to the final part of the 3x3 Asian Basketball Cup.
