Turkmenistan, China Discuss Support For Entrepreneurship

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Mergen Gurdov held talks with a Chinese delegation led by Ren Hongbin, chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, on April 16, 2026, focusing on support for entrepreneurship.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of a scientific and practical conference and exhibition titled “Turkmenistan People’s Republic of China: 20 Years of Strategic Cooperation in the Gas Sector,” the Chamber’s press service reported Friday.

The sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. The importance of active participation in international exhibitions, attracting new partners and strengthening business ties was emphasized.

Issues related to increasing bilateral trade turnover and expanding investment cooperation were also discussed.

Following the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their readiness to further develop the partnership.
