Turkmenistan continues to implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals

At the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, issues of further implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the country were discussed. As Deputy Prime Minister H. Geldimyradov reported, from 2019 to 2023, phases I and II of the “Platform for the Implementation of SDGs” project together with UNDP were successfully completed, writes TDH.

In the next two years, it is planned to implement phase III of this project, which involves monitoring progress in achieving the SDGs, studying international experience in the field of financing sustainable development, as well as measures to prepare for accession to the WTO.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of implementing the SDGs for the socio-economic progress of Turkmenistan and gave instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure the successful implementation of the III phase of the joint project with UNDP.
