Turkmenistan Establishes Strategic Advisory Council With UN

Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a resolution to establish the Turkmenistan United Nations Strategic Advisory Council, the official media in Turkmenistan reported on Friday.

The document aims to organize efforts related to the implementation of national programs and international initiatives led by President Berdimuhamedov. It aligns with the demands of the time and fosters systematic collaboration within projects. The resolution also emphasizes the development of a systematic partnership within projects carried out jointly with the UN and its specialized agencies.

According to the resolution, the TurkmenistanUnited Nations Strategic Advisory Council has been created, and its composition has been approved.

On February 18, 2024, a ceremony at Turkmenistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs saw the signing of documents between Turkmenistan's ministries, departments, non-governmental organizations, and the representatives of UN agencies in Turkmenistan UNDP, UNFPA, and UNICEF.
