Turkmenistan Familiarizes French Businesses With Its Investment Opportunities

A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Rashid Meredov, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Monday, participated in a business meeting with French companies who are members of the international French association MEDEF-International. The purpose of the meeting was to acquaint the French business representatives with Turkmenistan's investment opportunities.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the meeting also showcased the key areas of the country's economic development.

The forum provided an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance and broaden cooperation between Turkmenistan and France in various sectors, including trade, economy, energy, agriculture, and other fields of bilateral interaction, according to the statement.

During the meeting, the participants emphasized several promising areas of partnership, such as the oil and gas industry, gas chemicals, electric power, transportation, communications, medical industry, pharmaceuticals, financial and banking sectors, and the water sector.

Furthermore, on September 4, Rashid Meredov held separate meetings with representatives from the French business community, including the Honorary President of the France-Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce, the President of CIFAL International Services Gilles Remy, Honorary President of CARPI Tech Alberto Maria Scuero and its CEO Francois Tronel, President of Bouygues Group Martin Bouygues, and President of Vinci Construccion Grands Projekts Patrick Kadri.
