Turkmenistan has approved a five-year National program for the protection of maternal and child health

During a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, held digitally, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a resolution approving the National program for the protection of maternal and child health in Turkmenistan for 20262030, Healthy mother healthy child healthy future, and the Action Plan for its implementation.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Mammedov presented a report on the development of the Program and improvement of the domestic healthcare system.The new strategy focuses on preventing illness among mothers and children and systematically improving their health outcomes.

The program aims to modernise medical infrastructure and further improve the quality of specialised medical services provided throughout the country.The project was developed within the framework of state policy to create a healthy society and ensure reliable social protection for the institution of the family.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that protecting the health of mothers and children is one of the key priorities of state policy of Turkmenistan.In this regard, the head of state addressed a number of specific instructions to the deputy-prime to monitor the implementation of all points of the approved Action Plan.
