An international exhibition and scientific conference "Healthcare, education and sports in the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state" kicked off at the exhibition center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat on Monday.
The exhibition, timed to coincide with the Day of Healthcare and Medical Industry Workers of Turkmenistan, helps demonstrate and introduce the latest achievements of medical science and practical healthcare, the country’s official media reports.
In the congratulatory letter to the forum participants, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov said, "Taking care of people's health and ensuring their peaceful and happy life is the basis of our activities.
Protection of human health - the highest value of the society and the state - is one of the priorities of state policy, which involves addressing a wide range of tasks: disease prevention and treatment, increasing social protection of the population, approving the principles of a healthy lifestyle, guaranteeing the healthy development of citizens of all ages, especially the youth".
The international exhibition was attended by members of the Government and Parliament of Turkmenistan, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, heads and representatives of ministries and departments, medical scientific and clinical centers, the Academy of Sciences, public organizations, educational institutions, the mass media, and healthcare workers.
This year, the exhibition features stands of professionals in various fields of medicine from over 30 countries. Exhibitors include over 150 foreign firms-manufacturers of pharmaceutical products, medical equipment and supplies, providing different medical services, a wide range of natural cosmetics and baby food.
The list of participants includes long-term partners of the Turkmen medical professionals such as Seda Medical, PHILIPS, VICHI, OMEGA, Horiba, Olympus, Elekta, Fujinon, B. Braun, Aesculap, Leica Microsystems, SANDOZ, AGFA, Canon, Roche, Zimmer, Bego, Violorica, Siemens, Sanofi, Laboratore innotech international, Pentax, Takeda, Astellas, Askin and Co, and Santo.
The presentation of the 14th volume of book "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" by Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was also held at the exhibition.
