Turkmenistan, ILO Discuss Implementation of Joint Projects

Turkmenistan and the International Labour Organization (ILO) discussed the implementation of joint projects in the country during meetings between a delegation of the National Trade Union Center of Turkmenistan and the organization’s leadership and experts in Geneva, the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the United Nations in Geneva reported Tuesday.

The sides reviewed the current state of cooperation and prospects for its expansion, including interaction with the ILO Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia.

The visit program also included familiarization with the organization’s activities, its structure and working mechanisms, as well as its specialized departments at headquarters.

The International Labour Organization is a specialized United Nations agency that deals with labor relations and standards.
