Turkmenistan increases exports to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan

According to the State Statistics Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, foreign trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan in the first quarter of this year reached 20 million USD, an increase of 36% compared to the same period in 2023, the “Greater Asia” website reports.

Exports from Kyrgyzstan to Turkmenistan increased by 5,2%, amounting to 1 million USD. Imports of Turkmen goods to Kyrgyzstan increased significantly - by 38,1%, reaching 19,1 million USD.

The Uzbek Statistical Agency reports an increase in trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan by 23% to 455,5 million USD for the same period. Exports from Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan increased by 36%, amounting to 407,5 million USD.

However, Turkmenistan's imports from Uzbekistan decreased by 30% - from 69,2 million USD to 48 million USD in January-May of this year compared to last year. As a result, Turkmenistan took 7th place among Uzbekistan’s trading partners.
