Turkmenistan intends to produce more than 80 billion cubic meters of gas in 2023

During 2023, Turkmenistan intends to produce over 80 billion cubic meters of natural gas, said Deputy Chairman of the State Concern “Turkmengas” Murat Archayev at the conference “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2023”, Interfax reports.

The production of 73 billion cubic meters of blue fuel from the total amount in Turkmenistan should come from “Turkmengas”, noted the deputy chairman of the State Concern. Earlier in 2022, the country produced 82,7 billion cubic meters of gas.

Archayev said that according to forecasts, this year Turkmenistan will export about 40 billion cubic meters of blue fuel abroad. The bulk of the fuel will be sent to China more than 30 billion cubic meters.

Turkmenistan also continues to supply gas to Russia, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan. There is a contract with Iran for swap supplies of 3 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.
