Turkmenistan, Iran Discuss Preparations for 7th Caspian Summit

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Garibabadi and Director of the Caspian Sea Institute of Turkmenistan Myrat Atajanov held talks on preparations for the 7th Caspian States Summit, scheduled for summer 2026 in Tehran, IRNA reported Monday.

The officials reviewed coordination efforts ahead of the summit and cooperation among Caspian states, including potential joint regional initiatives.

Garibabadi stressed the importance of continuing dialogue and strengthening bilateral and regional cooperation in the interests of all Caspian states.

The 6th Caspian Summit was held on June 29, 2022, in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
