Turkmenistan, Iran Discuss Strengthening Cooperation Between Mary, Khorasan Razavi Provinces

On November 18, 2025, the Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Iran (Mashhad), Guvanchmyrat Atayev, met with the Governor of Razavi Khorasan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Gholamhossein Mozaffari.

During the meeting, the sides emphasized the role of the Memorandum of Understanding on economic, trade, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation between the Mary Velayat of Turkmenistan and Razavi Khorasan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran in strengthening bilateral cooperation.

They also noted the importance of reciprocal visits by delegations led by the governors of the two regions, as well as exhibitions and performances by cultural figures during such visits.

In addition, issues related to trade-economic, transport-transit, scientific-educational, sports cooperation, as well as interaction in the field of healthcare between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran were discussed.
