Turkmenistan is increasing the capacity of the construction and industrial complex

In the first quarter of 2024, Turkmenistan achieved significant results in increasing the production capacity of the country’s construction and industrial complex. The plan for production and implementation of work in this sector was fulfilled by 121,8%.

These results were announced by Deputy Prime Minister Baymyrat Annamammedov during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, reporting on the work of subordinate structures, including ministries and state concerns, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The highest indicators were demonstrated by the State Concern “Turkmenhimiya”, which fulfilled the plan for production of products and provision of services by 152,8%. The Ministry of Energy also exceeded targets, reaching 114,4% for production of products, works and services provided.

Summarizing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of commissioning large industrial and construction facilities, including the second stage of the Lebap cement plant with a capacity of 1 million tons per year.

The head of state also said that today the construction of a new cement plant in Baharden is in its final stages, which will also contribute to the economic development of the country.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed Deputy Prime Minister Annamammedov to take the necessary measures to commission new enterprises, effectively use production capacities and successfully achieve planned targets in the construction and industrial complex.
