Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan will open mutual trade houses in Ashgabat and Almaty, the press service of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration said Wednesday. The document was published on Kazakhstan’s official portal for draft laws and regulations.
Kazakhstan has submitted a draft agreement with Turkmenistan for public discussion on establishing trade representations in the respective cities.
The agreement aims to stimulate trade and economic relations, expand bilateral cooperation, and increase mutual trade on the basis of equal partnership.
The trade houses will serve as centers for promoting goods and services of national producers. They are expected to host exhibitions, marketing campaigns, and facilitate interaction between the business communities of both countries.
The document foresees registering and launching the trade houses within a year, with government support from both Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in providing premises, developing logistics infrastructure, and creating conditions for effective business operations.
The opening of a new Turkmen-Uzbek border trade center is also planned during President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s visit to Uzbekistan.
