Turkmenistan-Kazakhstan Trade Exceeds $563M in 2023

The trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan in 2023 exceeded $563 million, marking a 28% increase compared to the same period in 2022, as reported by the Kazakhstan National Statistics Bureau last Thursday.

During the reporting period, Kazakhstan imported Turkmen goods totaling $165.88 million, a 68% increase compared to the same period in 2022 ($98.33 million).

Simultaneously, the country's exports to Turkmenistan amounted to $397.178 million, almost 17% higher compared to the corresponding period in 2022 ($340.35 million).

In 2022, the trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan increased by 72%, reaching approximately $438 million.

As of March 2023, 53 investment projects involving Kazakhstani companies are registered in Turkmenistan.
