Turkmenistan-Kyrgyzstan Trade Turnover Jumps 160.2% in Jan-Nov 2022

Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover with Turkmenistan in January-November months of 2022 amounted to more than $79.6 million, a 160.2 percent increase compared to the same period of 2021, according to the report published by the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic last week.

The trade turnover between the countries in the first 11 months of 2021 amounted to $30.59 million.

During the first 11 months of last year, Kyrgyzstan imported more than $75 million worth of Turkmen products, a 182.1 percent increase compared to the same period of previous year.

At the same period, the country’s exports to Turkmenistan amounted to over $4.55 million, an increase of 14.4 percent compared to the same period of 2021.

The main Turkmen exports to Kyrgyzstan during the ten-month period are oil products, electricity, and vegetables, according to the report.

The total foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan during the first 11 months of 2022 exceeded $10.57 billion, which, compared to the same period in 2021, is an increase of 40.4 percent.
