Turkmenistan Opens New Railway Bridge Over Garagum River in Mary

Turkmenistan on Wednesday commissioned a new railway bridge at the 316th kilometer of the Garagum River on the Gurbangala - Zahmet railroad section, the country’s official media reported on Thursday.

The new bridge was built by the country’s Demirýollary (Railways) Open Joint Stock Company by order of Türkmendemirýollary (Turkmen Railways) Agency. On behalf of the head of Turkmenistan, the builders distinguished by their diligence were awarded gifts.

The modern railway bridge was mainly built using construction materials of the Russian company Tyumenstalmost, and domestic construction machinery, according to the report.

The length of the new railway bridge over the Garagum River is 250 meters.
