Turkmenistan Organizes Special Flight to Repatriate Students From Ukraine

Due to the recent developments in Ukraine, a large group of Turkmen students studying at Ukrainian universities arrived on a special flight to the city of Turkmenabat in Turkmenistan on Thursday.

They were warmly welcomed at the Turkmenabat airport, the country’s official media reports.

Particularly, Turkmenistan Airlines repatriated 282 Turkmen citizens who were evacuated to Romania from Ukraine, according to the Baku-based Report news agency.

The flight of citizens was carried out free of charge and the necessary services were provided by the diplomatic services of Turkmenistan.

Such special flights are operated instead of regular passenger flights suspended due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the world.
