Turkmenistan Participates in C5+1 Business Forum

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., hosted a business conference marking the tenth anniversary of the Central Asia+U.S. cooperation format.

Organized at a high level, the event demonstrated the region’s and the United States’ firm commitment to strengthening comprehensive relations, particularly in strategically important areas such as trade, the economy, and investment.

As part of the forum’s ceremonial program, an exhibition showcased the rich cultural heritage and economic potential of the Central Asian countries.

Turkmenistan’s exhibition introduced visitors to the country’s achievements, economic successes, national historical and cultural values, and books by the Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The event also featured performances by cultural figures and art masters from Central Asian countries. The concert, highlighting the deep cultural ties among the region’s peoples, left a lasting impression on attendees.

At the forum’s opening ceremony, U.S. government representatives emphasized the importance of developing sustainable six-party cooperation based on mutual respect.

In his remarks, Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs, R.Meredov, stressed that the business conference, held with such distinguished participation, confirmed a shift from planning to practical engagement.

He also highlighted the importance of partnerships within this platform, noting that such cooperation allows the mobilization of financial, organizational, technical, and other resources to implement large-scale joint projects.

Priority areas for economic collaboration include advanced technologies, digitalization, artificial intelligence, green standards, energy, and transport.The foundation of this cooperation is the diversification of energy and transport flows, ensuring their reliability and stability, and adherence to principles that consider the interests of all parties.

Guided by these approaches, Turkmenistan has implemented several major energy and logistics projects in the region.

The forum also underscored the importance of increasing mutual trade between Central Asian countries and the United States and establishing an effective legal and contractual framework for partnership.
