Turkmenistan plans to exceed the export of electro-energy to Afghanistan

Turkmenistan will modernize open switchgear at the Nur el-Jahad electric power station, located in the Herat province of Afghanistan. The corresponding Decree was signed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, reports on the “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” website.

According to the document, the Concern of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan Türkmenenergogurluşyk it is allowed to conclude a contract with the Afghan company Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat for the design, supply, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of open switchgear at the electric power station in Afghanistan.

Cooperation of two countries in this sphere should contribute to the volume increase of exported electricity, and also the successful implementation of the TAP project, notes in the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan.
