Turkmenistan Prepares More Than 76.6 Thousand Laptops For First-Graders

This academic year, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the People of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a total of 76,677 Bilimli laptops have been prepared and delivered to schools.

These laptops will be presented to children who will start the first grade this school year.

The laptops were produced by the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan and Aydyň Gijeler Company, the country’s official media reported on Wednesday.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan was instructed to conclude separate contracts with Agzybirlik Tilsimaty and Adyň Gijeler for the purchase, installation and maintenance of laptops to be presented to children starting the first grade in the 2023-2024 school year.

The laptops are equipped with Android 13+ Google Service operating system and DDR44Gb RAM. The computers, operating in Turkmen, Russian and English languages, are installed with a number of educational programs.

At the online cabinet meeting on August 25, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov informed that 13 kindergartens, 19 secondary schools and educational complexes will be opened on September 1 in the city of Arkadag and provinces of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the beginning of the new school year.
