Turkmenistan Presented the Second Voluntary National Review on the Implementation of SDG

During the meeting of the Working Group on the Sustainable Development Goals of Turkmenistan, jointly with the representatives of the UN Agencies, was discussed the preparation of the second Voluntary National Review on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Turkmenistan.

The review will be presented at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in June 2023, the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.

In particular, the creation of a Joint Interagency Working Group on Goals 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 13 was considered for inclusion in the Review in addition to SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11 and 13.

The members of the Working Group also discussed the creation of a National Action Plan for the development of indicators, which can be implemented within 1-3 years, depending on the complexity of the indicator methodology.
