Turkmenistan resumes trade with Iran through Sarakhs border terminal

Trade between Turkmenistan and Iran through the Sarakhs border terminal will resume from June 1, 2022.

“In order to use effectively the international transport corridors of Turkmenistan and increase the volume of international cargo transportation, from June 1, 2022 foreign cars together with drivers are permitted to cross the border along the Sarakhs-Farap-Sarakhs route, subject to compliance with all necessary requirements”, says the website of the State Enterprise “Turkmenulaggozegchilik”.

The Sarakhs border terminal is located in the province of Khorasan Razavi, northeast of Iran, on the common border with Turkmenistan.

Earlier we reported that the President of Turkmenistan and Iran agreed to increase mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of transport, science and education, culture and art.
