Turkmenistan’s Altyn Asyr Communications Company Launches National Online Messenger

In order to fulfill the tasks set for the implementation of the digital economy in Turkmenistan, Altyn Asyr Closed Joint-Stock Company has launched the country’s first national online messaging system - a messenger program and its mobile application, TDH news agency reported on Thursday.

Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Bayramgeldi Ovezov repored about the launch during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The messenger allows users to instantly exchange text messages and e-mail, participate in group conversations, communicate using video link, send and receive various types of digital files via the internet.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that Türkmentelekom state telecommunications company of the Türkmenaragatnaşyk (Turkmen Communications) Agency has developed software of a new modern national e-mail and is currently testing the it.

The software solution includes a module that allows using postal services.
