The news outlet “Turkmenistan: golden age” reports that mini laptops have been presented to first graders of Turkmenistan on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov.
Let us recall that on 23 June Deputy Prime Minister overseeing science, education, healthcare and sports Sapardurdy Toilyev reported that 142 819 educational computers had been purchased in the run-up to the new academic year.
It should be mentioned that these are not the real computers, but electronic to mini laptops.
First graders had previously been presented with Lenovo mini laptops. However, starting from 2016, due to the economic slump, children are presented with toy mini laptops.
