Turkmenistan's Hazar Güýji to Build Ammonia-Urea Plant With Chinese Partnership

A Turkmen company Hazar Güýji plans to build a plant for ammonia and urea production in Kiyanly in cooperation with state-owned Turkmen and Chinese companies, Serdarmammed Tachmamedov, deputy director of Hazar Güýji, told Neytralnyy Turkmenistan newspaper in an interview.

The plant's production capacity will be 1200 tons of ammonia and 1950 tons of granulated urea daily.

This capacity is widely used and proven in the Middle East and Asia. An example of this is the Marykarbamid plant.

The location for construction of the plant was chosen taking into account the availability of raw materials. The plant will consume 450-500 million cubic meters of natural gas annually.

China Chengda Engineering Co., Ltd, a leading Chinese company, is acting as the general contractor for the design and supply of equipment for this project.

Hazar güýji is also planning to build carbon black production units in western Turkmenistan in cooperation with Turkmen state and Chinese companies.
