Turkmenistan’s Lebapgazçykaryş Produces Over 5 bcm of Natural Gas

Lebapgazçykaryş Management of Turkmengas State Concern produced around 5.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas in January-May 2021. Compared to the same period last year, the growth rate reached 140%.

In the past month alone, the Management’s output of natural gas amounted to about 907 million cubic meters, the online newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reported on Thursday.

During the first five months of this year, Lebapgazçykaryş also produced more than 20.7 thousand tons of gas condensate.

The engineers of Lebapgazçykaryş also repaired 17 idle wells during the period, providing additional production of natural gas. Similar work is also underway at Malay, Kerpichli and Kukurtli fields.

The Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline, launched in December 2009, originates in Lebap velayat.
