Turkmenistan's Mejlis Prepares Draft Law on Efficient Use of Energy

The Mejlis of Turkmenistan is preparing a draft law "On Energy Saving and Efficient Use of Energy", the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova reported to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.

The Speaker of the Mejlis reported on the ongoing efforts to adopt new and improve existing legislative acts, which are intended to form the legal basis for implementing transformation programs in the country, increasing the efficiency of industries, and improving the social and living conditions of the people.

According to the report, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan is also drafting a new version of the Civil Code and the Law on Hydrometeorological Activities.

Upon receiving the report, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov acknowledged the importance of developing advanced draft laws that align with the current realities. The Head of State also added that these legislative acts should reflect the effectively implemented state policy and have the primary objective of enhancing the welfare of the people of Turkmenistan.
