On 28 August President Berdymukhammedov held a video conference where one of the topics on the agenda was preparatory works which underway in the capital ahead of the upcoming Asian Games.
In the course of the video conference the head of the state issued a warning to Minister of Public Utilities Martyniyaz Abilov (see the photo) for weakening of the control over the performance of subordinate agencies.
According to the President, the pace of works to prepare Ashgabat for the sports event “does not fully meet the present day requirements”.
