Turkmenistan's President Inaugurates Second Phase of Lebap Cement Plant

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working visit to Lebap province on Wednesday and participated in the opening ceremony of the second phase of the Lebap Cement Plant with a capacity of 1 million tons of cement per year in the Koytendag district in the eastern region of the country.

The significant industrial facility, constructed and commissioned by the Turkmen Enjam Economic Society nearby the first Lebap Cement Plant, integrates the latest achievements of modern industrial production.

The new plant, designed to produce 1 million tons of cement annually, is equipped with machinery that meets the high-quality standards of leading global manufacturers.

According to estimates, the amount of harmful substances emitted during production is significantly below permissible concentrations. Powerful filters are employed for the capture and purification of dust released into the air.

The second phase of the plant is strategically located in a region with substantial reserves of essential raw materials required for production, situated in close proximity to their extraction sites.

Lebap Cement Plant was inaugurated and put into operation in February 2013, with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
