Turkmenistan Strengthens Humanitarian and Cultural Ties at Fashion Commonwealth Forum

A Turkmen delegation led by Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Oguljahan Atabayeva, participated in the Fashion Commonwealth international forum in St. Petersburg on November 1920.

During the visit, Atabayeva held meetings with Russian officials and charity leaders, including chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, president of the V.

P.Filatov International Foundation for the Development of Biomedical Technologies Ekaterina Dibrova, first deputy chair of the Commission for Social Interaction, Guardianship, and Inclusive Practice of the Russian Public Chamber Diana Gurtskaya and the head of the Georgin Fund for Children with Musculoskeletal Disorders Ekaterina Rogozhina.

Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in healthcare, biomedical technologies, inclusive education, and social support for children, including joint programs for those needing medical assistance.

Atabayeva also visited the State Hermitage to view exhibits related to Turkmen cultural heritage and attended fashion shows featuring national and contemporary designs from CIS countries. Turkmen women’s handmade national costumes with traditional embroidery drew particular attention.

The Fashion Commonwealth forum is an annual platform for CIS countries dedicated to promoting the fashion, textile, and design industries.
