The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting at which the results of the work of the Charitable Fund to assist children in need of care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for 2023 were summed up. Members of the Foundation's board took part in the meeting.
According to the MIC, the results of activities over the past period, questions about the Fund’s expenses and a number of organizational aspects were considered.
As noted, at the expense of the Foundation, 260 operations were carried out at the request of guardians throughout the country, of which: 117 for the treatment of pathologies of the cardiovascular system, 102 for diseases of the musculoskeletal system, and other operations were also performed.
47 children underwent medical and preventive examinations.
At the Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, out of 274 children who applied for treatment, 212 received comprehensive health and rehabilitation treatment. Currently, 34 children are undergoing rehabilitation treatment. Most children had speech and motor delays as comorbidities, and modern treatments have provided better outcomes for children.
Of the 85 children with speech delay who were treated at the Center, 45 showed speech and voice development. Of the 113 children with cerebral palsy, 65 improved hand motor skills as a result of restorative physical therapy, and good results were achieved in restoring walking skills.
58 children were admitted to the Center’s kindergarten, 18 of whom were diagnosed with various diseases, the source notes.
