Turkmenistan to Export Products Worth $15.6 Billion in 2023: IMF

Turkmenistan is forecast to export $15.6 billion worth of products in 2023, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said in its Regional Economic Outlook for the Middle East and Central Asia published at the beginning of May.

The fund forecasts Turkmenistan’s imports to amount to $9 billion this year.

For the year 2024, the IMF projects Turkmenistan’s exports to amount to $15.1 billion, and imports $9.9 billion.

According to the report, the exports of Turkmenistan last year stood at $15.6 billion, and imports $8.5 billion.

The IMF report forecasts Central Asia and the Caucasus will experience a decline in collective GDP growth to 4.2% in 2023 from 4.8% in 2022 and a slight rebound to 4.5% in 2024.
