As part of the 2026 Social and Economic Development and Investment Program, Turkmenistan is set to attract 41.2 billion manats in investments by the end of the year, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty in Ashgabat on Wednesday, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that investment policy is one of the important conditions for the dynamic development of the economy, emphasizing that investment projects are being successfully implemented in the country and that this is consistently strengthening the economic potential of the state.
According to the report, the capital investment funds will create conditions for the construction of new production and cultural-social facilities, as well as the modernization of existing facilities.
As the Head of state noted, significant funds were allocated this year from the country’s main financial plan for the development of education, health care and culture, and for the construction of production and socio-cultural facilities. Of these funds, 68.5% was allocated for the construction of production facilities and 31.5% for social facilities.
The President of Turkmenistan noted that the revenue side of the budget was increased through economic reforms, achieving innovative development and expanding the share of the private sector and said that work on the country’s economic and industrial development will continue.
The Head of state also instructed the development of the “Program for the Socio-Economic Development and Investments of Turkmenistan for 2027” to successfully fulfill the tasks outlined for the country’s further development.
