Turkmenistan to Send 2,312 Pilgrims to Mecca to Perform Hajj

Turkmenistan Mufti's Office plans to send 2,312 Turkmen citizens to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj in 2023, the official Turkmen media reported Wednesday.

According to the report, the Hajj is carried out during the Eid al-Adha celebration, which this year falls on June 28-29-30.

The Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmen Airlines) of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan has been ordered to organize charter flights to Saudi Arabia for Turkmen pilgrims.

With the support of the President of Turkmenistan, Turkmen citizens annually make hajj to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
